Saturday, July 5 is the first Saturday of the month, so the Welcome Historical Society Museum will be open from 2 to 4 p.m. Check out the interesting items and displays of Welcome at the museum on Hulseman Street.

On Sunday the Circle of Faith Parishes will have their July services at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome at 9 a.m. and at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Trimont. St. Paul’s Community Church in Welcome on Dugan St. will have 9:30 a.m. services. St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn will have services on Saturdays at 5 p.m. in July to September. St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn has 8 a.m. Sunday services for the summer. The Regional Worship Center in Sherburn has 10 a.m. services. Area residents are welcome to join any of these congregations for worship.

The Sundaes at the Park will be at 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 6 at the Triumph Memorial Park in Trimont, with the Kittleson Family as the musical entertainment. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy music and ice cream. Alternate location in case of inclement weather is the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center-Trimont Chapel.

The Lake Promenaders Square Dance group will start square dancing lessons and fun from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, July 7 at the Temperance Lake Ridge facility. Sounds like fun.

Monday, July 7 is the deadline to get your garage/rummage sale on the map for the Welcome Summer Festival weekend, from July 17 to 19. Contact Amanda Hartwig at amanda_hartwig@hotmail.com by Monday. Plan to attend the Welcome Summer Festival .

Tuesday Coffee Hours continue from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each Tuesday in July at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn (just south of Interstate 90 freeway). Join friends and neighbors for good fellowship and good coffee.

The American Red Cross Blood drives will be in Fairmont in July. They will have a blood drive at Grace Lutheran Church on July 10 and at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church on July 21. They will be in Sherburn on Aug. 4. Call the 800-RED-CROSS (800-733-2767) number, go online at www.redcrossblood.org or text BLOODAPP to 90999 to make an appointment, find further information about locations and times of blood drives or to make a rapid pass to shorten the registration time. Blood is urgently needed so give if you are eligible. Thank you.

The Welcome High School All-Class Reunion will be on July 26 at the Fox Lake Event Center. Schedule vacation time and attend the fun event.
