Truman 5K signups still open

TRUMAN — The temperature must be 69 degrees Fahrenheit for the Truman Pool to open. If it starts to rain but there isn’t a threat of lightning, the pool will stay open. The pool is open from 1 to 5 pm and 6:30 to 9 pm daily. Water aerobics is from 5:30 to 6:30 pm Monday through Friday. Swimming lessons are available. Daily tickets are $5, 10 punch tickets are $45, water aerobic sessions are $60, an individual season pass is $100 and a family season pass is $200, and all must live under the same roof.

Come to the Truman Public Library at 3 pm on Wednesday for storytime and a craft. Registration is not required. Questions can be directed to Theresa at (507) 776-2717 from 1:30 to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

It’s that time of year again to host the 19th annual Truman Days 5 K. Get more details and pre-register by June 29 to guarantee a T-shirt and swag at https//runsignup.com/Race/MN/Truman/TrumanDays5k. Kids 10 and under are free. Register them by emailing Trumandays5K@gmail.com with name, age on race date, gender and t-shirt size. You can register up until the race, but you will not be guaranteed a shirt or swag.

The kids’ mini triathlon for ages 3 to 6 begins at the high school parking lot at 6 pm on Friday, July 25. It will include biking, running and a sprinkler at the finish. Bring a bike, helmet and running shoes. This event is free. Pre-register by June 29 to guarantee a shirt/swag bag by emailing Trumandays5K@gmail.com with name, age on race date, gender and t-shirt size. Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman is holding a salad luncheon from 11 am to 12:30 pm on Wednesday, June 25. Enjoy salads, crackers, fresh fruit, veggie pizza, deviled eggs, egg salad, ham salad sandwiches, bars and beverages. Takeouts available. No deliveries. Tickets are $10 for adults and $3 for children.

St. John’s Lutheran Church in Antrim is celebrating 155 years on June 29. A worship service is at 10 am, with Pastor Douglas Rutt as the guest speaker. A meal will follow, and church memorabilia and history will be on display. Please RSVP to (507) 236-7292 if you plan to stay for the meal.
