CEYLON — The Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon will have a horse race and meat raffle at 2 p.m. today, June 14. Tank Anthony will appear on June 27. Canaan James will perform on July 18.

Sunday is Father’s Day. Happy Father’s Day to all the area fathers, grandfathers and those who are like a father to area children.

A CREST-sponsored Lunch-N-Learn program will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, at the First Lutheran Church in Trimont, followed by a luncheon. These educational and fun programs are free for Senior Citizens in Martin County. CREST appreciates a free will donation for the lunch.

Tuesday Coffee Hours continue from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each Tuesday in June at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn. The July coffee hours will be at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn.

Heaven’s Table Food Distribution will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on June 24 at City Hall in Ceylon. To sign up, call City Hall at (507) 632-4653 or visit them before June 18, with the number and ages of family members. Individuals and families in need who meet the financial guidelines will receive food from Heaven’s Table Food Shelf.

The Ceylon High School All-Class Reunion will be held on June 28 at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill’s banquet room and outside on the street west of the facility. A ticketed meal and activities following include the BeeKays Band.

The Ceylon Area Historical Society Museum will open that weekend with special hours from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9:30 a.m. on Saturday to the reunion’s banquet time, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Check out the school memorabilia, town and area items of interest. They will open the time capsule, which was sealed in 2000 at the Ceylon Centennial, and reseal it with new items since this year is the 125th anniversary of the town’s founding. All former Huskies are encouraged to attend.

The Summer Ceylon Auction is scheduled for July 19 with consignments of supplies and equipment (no household items) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from July 10 to 17 at Ceylon. Howell Real Estate and Auction will be the auctioneers.
