CEYLON — The congregation at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon will have their 5:30 p.m. communion service tonight, June 7. They have services on the first and third Saturday evening. Area residents are welcome to join them.

Circle of Faith Parishes are reminded that they will have a joint service to celebrate Pentecost at 9 a.m. on Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. The color for altars on Pentecost is red, so the congregation is encouraged to wear red. There will only be one service.

Sunday is also the date for the first Sundaes at the Park at 6 p.m. at Triumph Memorial Park in Trimont. The entertainment will be the Centennial Band. Plan to attend.

The American Red Cross Blood drives will be from 1 to 6 p.m. on June 9 at the Trimont Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 20 at the American Legion in Fairmont, noon to 6 p.m. on June 30 at the Truman Community Building and the St. Paul’s Community Church in Welcome. Tuesday Coffee Hours continue in June at the St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each Tuesday in June. Coffee Lovers group meets each Thursday in the back room of the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Area residents are welcome to join friends and neighbors for good coffee and great fellowship at these locations.

The Ceylon City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, at the City Hall. There is always a time for public comments and questions at the beginning of each meeting without a reservation. The St. Paul’s Lutheran Ladies group, LWML, will meet at Wilbert at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 12. All members are encouraged to attend.

The Ceylon High School All Class Reunion is on June 28 at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill’s back room and the street west of the bar. A meal and The Beekay’s Band performance are planned. Huskies are encouraged to attend.

The Summer Auction sale of farm equipment will be on July 19 in Ceylon. Consignments may be brought from 8 am to 5 p.m. from July 10 to 17. (No household items).
