Seeking farmers’ market volunteer

TRUMAN — The Truman City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. You are welcome to attend these meetings.

Recycling day is Wednesday. Place clean recycling containers on the curb by 7 a.m. Just because the product has a recycling symbol doesn’t mean it can be recycled in our area. Plastics with the numbers 12 and five are accepted.

The Truman Pride meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Truman School. Pride in our school, pride in our students, pride in our future. Get involved and help Truman Schools succeed. All are welcome.

Truman seeks a volunteer willing to work on the 2025 farmer’s market. The group needs a coordinator and creative ideas to help make an even more successful 2025 season. Contact any Truman Active Living member or Pat Jones at (507) 236-4433. Please consider this opportunity.

Dad’s Belgian Waffles will be served all-you-can-eat from 8 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, at the Lewisville American Legion. Enjoy waffles, toppings, sausage, and beverages. Admission is $10 per person, and children under five eat free. Proceeds benefit the Lewisville Ambulance. Takeouts are available.

Bravo Zulu House has joined forces with Tee It Up for the Troops. They are excited to announce their first annual golf and pickleball fundraising event to benefit Tee It Up for the Troops and Bravo Zulu House. This two-day event will be held at the beautiful Owatonna Country Club on Wednesday, June 25, and Thursday, June 26. This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled day of golf or pickleball, network with fellow supporters, and raise critical funds for two important organizations that support our veterans. The Agri-Business Committee of Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce and Martin County Pork Producers announces the 27th annual Blue Ribbon Pork Cook-off, to be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 13 in the Martin County Arena at the Fairgrounds. Blue Ribbon Pork Cook-off tickets are available at the Fairmont Chamber of Commerce for $12.

Remember, Truman Days are on July 25 and July 26. Garage sales begin July 24.
