All Class Reunion on July 26
WELCOME — An American Red Cross Blood drive will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, May 23, at the LiveFit Gym in Fairmont. The blood drives in June are on June 3 and 4 at the Best Western in Fairmont, June 9 at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center in Trimont, June 20 at the Fairmont Legion Hall and June 30 at the St. Paul’s Community Church in Welcome. The Welcome Burn Site will be open from 8 a.m. to noon tomorrow, May 24. Please bring only wood that is six inches in diameter or smaller. Thank you for your cooperation.
The City of Welcome also reminds residents that the sump pumps should be directed to lawns or storm sewer now until November, and the grass should be mowed if six inches or taller by ordinance.
The City Hall will be closed at noon on Fridays.
There are some flower seeds available at the city hall.
There will be a public hearing at 6 p.m. on May 28, concerning a variance for a storage unit at 418 Mill Street.

The Lake Promenaders Square Dance group will not meet on Sunday, May 25. They will meet in the fall with lessons. They have lessons in the summer from 6 to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, starting on July 7 at the Temperance Lake Ridge in Sherburn. Join the fun.
Tuesday Coffee Hours continue from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each Tuesday in May at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. The Coffee Hours will be held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn in June. Join friends and neighbors for good fellowship, coffee and goodies.
Memorial Day services will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 26, at the Welcome Legion Hall. Join area residents to celebrate the veterans who helped keep our country free, and to remember that freedom isn’t free.
A Baccalaureate Service for the MCW Seniors will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, at the First Lutheran Church in Trimont. The Graduation ceremony will be at 2 p.m. on June 1 at Sherburn High School. Congratulations to the Seniors and best wishes for your future.
