CEYLON — Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will have its Saturday evening service at 5:30 p.m. tonight, May 17, in Ceylon. Area residents are welcome to join them.

Tuesday Coffee Hours will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each Tuesday in May at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. Join friends and neighbors for good coffee and treats, and great fellowship. A Thursday Coffee Lovers meeting will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each Thursday at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon for all area residents.

A CREST Lunch and Learn program will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, at the First Lutheran Church in Trimont, followed by lunch. These programs are free to any senior citizen in Martin County. A free-will donation is appreciated for the lunch.

The American Red Cross blood drives continue on May 19 at St. Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont, May 23 at the Live Fit Gym in Fairmont, June 3 and 4 at the Best Western in Fairmont, June 9 at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center in Trimont, June 20 at the Fairmont Legion Hall and June 30 at the Welcome Community Church. The Ceylon High School All Class Reunion for all former Huskies will be on June 28. The Ceylon Area Historical Society Museum will be open for the reunion on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They plan to open the time capsule and put together a time capsule for the future. Contact the Historical Society with ideas for things to put in the new time capsule. Historical Society directors are Ronnie Leiding, Jim Plumhoff, Greg Bents, Marilyn Stelter and Ann Yackle.

The museum will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. on the first Sunday of June, July and August. Check out the interesting items from the town, area and school in the museum.
