UHD welcomes Dr. Scot Perkinson to surgical team

BLUE EARTH — United Hospital District (UHD) is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Scot Perkinson, MD, to its surgical team. Dr. Perkinson has more than a decade of experience in orthopedic surgery, enhancing UHD’s commitment to providing comprehensive, high-quality care to the communities it serves. Dr. Perkinson earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Wisconsin. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Throughout his career, Dr. Perkinson has specialized in joint replacement, arthroscopic procedures, and fracture care, with a focus on patient-centered treatment plans that promote optimal recovery and mobility. Dr. Perkinson will be seeing patients at UHD’s Blue Earth and Fairmont locations as a member of UHD’s orthopedic team. The busy orthopedic team routinely performs joint replacements for hips, shoulders and knees, treats activity-related injuries, and more. UHD specializes in minimally invasive procedures with small incisions, which decrease post-surgical pain, minimize the risk of infection, and frequently allow patients to go home the same day.
