Seeking farmers’ market volunteer
TRUMAN — As we celebrate Holy Week, these are the following church schedules: St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran church will have Maundy Thursday services with Holy Communion at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. The Good Friday service will be at 10 a.m. Their Easter Sunrise service with Holy Communion will be at 7:30 a.m., with an Easter breakfast at 8:30 a.m.
Trinity Lutheran Church will have a Maundy Thursday Worship Service in the Fellowship Hall at 10 a.m. with rolls and coffee afterward. Good Friday worship service with Holy Communion is at 6 p.m. Their Easter Worship Service with Holy Communion is at 10 a.m..
An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be on April 14 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Martin Luther High School (315 Martin Luther Drive, Northrop, Minn.). To make an appointment, call (800) 733-2767 or visit www.redcrossblood.org.
Truman Active Living will meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, at the Truman Museum.
Truman seeks a volunteer willing to work on the 2025 farmer’s market. The group needs a coordinator and creative ideas to help make an even more successful 2025 season. Contact any Truman Active Living committee member or Pat Jones at (507) 236-4433.
Second Harvest Heartland, a nutrition assistance program for seniors, will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16. Come to Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman to pick up your box. Eligibility is based on age (60 years and up), household size, and income. Pre-register by contacting 1-800-365-0270.
Lewisville Commercial Club meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Legion.
Wednesday is recycling day. Please place your recycling containers curbside by 7 a.m.

Truman Sorority will again sponsor its annual Easter egg hunt. The event will be at 10 a.m. on April 19 at Graf Park. All kids from ages two to fifth grade are welcome to come and pick up candy inside over 4,000 eggs. Twelve baskets will be awarded, and everyone will pick out a prize. Come and see the Easter bunnies, too. Bring your own container.
The Strike Out Cancer “Swing for a Cure” event is May 13, 2025, at the Truman Baseball Field and Rosburg Softball Diamond. Jaguar baseball and softball have been hosting this annually since 2018.
