CEYLON — Sunday is the first of September. Circle of Faith parishes will have Sunday services during September starting 9 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Trimont and 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. Waverly Lutheran Church will have a joint service at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 8, to

celebrate the 125th anniversary of that church. St. Peter Lutheran Church WELCA ladies group will meet for Bible study at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the church. The Bible study from the July-August Gather issue on page 18 session two. St. Paul’s Lutheran in Wilbert will have services at 10 a.m. this Sunday and then will go back to 9:30 a.m. services on Sept. 8. Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will have 5:30 p.m. services on Saturday, Sept. 7. They have services the first and third Saturday of the month. On Sept. 9, they will start their Tuesday morning Bible class at 9:30 a.m. every Tuesday. Area residents are welcome to join these church events.

Tuesday coffee hours for September will begin 8:30-10 a.m. Sept. 3, at St. Paul’s Church in Welcome. Join friends and neighbors for good coffee and fellowship every Tuesday in September.

The Friendship Club from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn will have a luncheon at 11 a.m. on Sept. 9, in the restaurant at the St. James Golf Club. Join them if you can. You need not be a member of St. John’s.

The month of September also means that school will be in session. Please watch for children getting on and off school buses. Obey the stop arm law on buses.
