Garage sales maps available at Casey’s

TRUMAN — Garage sale maps will be available Saturday, July 20, at Casey’s in Truman. Be sure to check the time and day each sale is to be held. There are over 40 sales advertised.

Be sure to check out the Bluejay window at the Truman Museum.

Watch for the arrival of the Truman Active Living Farmers Market tokens. There are general rules to follow with this program.

* Tokens can be used to purchase, fresh fruits, vegetables, or food, producing plants, only produce vendors can accept the tokens, non-produce vendors cannot except the tokens under any circumstance, no change will be given for tokens, participants do not have to spend their tokens the same market day it was received. Participants may save tokens for future market days, and or

spend multiple tokens at one time to make larger purchases.

* What can be purchased with the tokens? All fresh vegetables, all fresh fruit, seeds for edible plants and whole plants that produce edible produce. What cannot be purchased with tokens? Dairy products, meet, poultry, fish, eggs, bread, cereals, jam, syrups, honey, rice, greens, package, pastries, hot, or cold immediately consumable foods, fountain drinks, flowers, shrubs fall ornamentals, non-food items food soaps, crafts, clothing items.

* Tokens will be available to children ages 4-12 and senior citizens.

The Truman classic tractor ride is Friday, July 26. Lineup begins at 7:30 a.m. and at 8 a.m. you will leave to travel the county roads. A noon lunch will be served at Graf Park for the participants, provided by CFS and Profinium. Lineup is at Prairieland, 801 E. 5th St. N. in Truman. The Truman Days mens softball tournament is July 26-28 at Rosburg Field in Truman. To register, contact Ryan Grapler at (507) 236-7134.

The GIFT team will be having a rummage sale during Truman Days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, July 25 and Friday, July 26. Items for the sale can be dropped off now. Also, they are planning on selling bars and cookies. If you would like to donate baked goods, they would be much appreciated all proceeds go to the GIFT program. Your support is appreciated. Enjoy your Dad’s Belgian waffle breakfast from 7:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 27, at the Truman Community Building sponsored by Trinity Lutheran Church. All-you-can-eat waffles are $8 for adults and kids, five and under are free. Takeouts are available. You will dine in an air-conditioned comfort.

• Aug. 3 — Lewisville FUN DAZE begins with a pancake breakfast, kids pedal pull, petting zoo, bouncy houses, coin dig, fire truck rides, craft/vendors, bingo, brass quintet, giggle givers and fun for all.

• Aug. 3 and 4 — Lewisville FUN DAZE co-ed suicide awareness softball tournament. To enter or for questions, contact Chandlier Greier at (507) 236-9723. All beer sales will be donated to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention (please no coolers). Donations are welcome. Entry fee is $125 (100 percent payback-must be paid before you play). $1,000 for 1st place based on 12

teams. Double elimination possibly hard luck depending on number of teams. Bring your own .52/300 balls under ASA rules.
