Puzzle Race today at Lake Belt Bar and Grill

CEYLON — The Lake Belt Bar and Grill will have their High Stakes Puzzle Race at 1:30 p.m. today, June 22. Good luck teams.

A fundraiser event for Healing Hearts Housing will be held 4-8 p.m. today, June 22, in the Martin County Arena at the fairgrounds in Fairmont. There will be a concert by Heart Song, a hog roast barbecue, and activities for the children as well.

There will be a bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, June 22, at Fleet and Farm store in Fairmont. This is a fundraiser to benefit animals at the Martin County Humane Society shelter.

The Ceylon summer auction is planned for July 20 starting at 8:30 a.m. There will be 2-3 rings all day. No household items will be included on the sale but farm and construction equipment, trailers, trucks and mowers will be there. Plan to attend.

Tuesday coffee hours for June continue one more time from 8:30-10 a.m. on June 25, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn. Tuesday coffee hours for the month of July will be held the same times at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn.

American Red Cross blood drives are scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. on July 15 at St. Paul’s Church in Welcome and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 22, at St. Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. Circle of Faith parishes are reminded that Sunday services in July will be at 9 a.m. at First Lutheran in Trimont and 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran in Welcome. One more June service, then the services will change.

The Friendship Club from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn is sponsoring a bus trip to Kentucky to see the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in August. The deadline date to sign up is July 15 for the trip which will be Aug. 18-24. Contact the church office at (507) 764-5312 or Mary Johnson at (507) 399-1424 to sign up. There are stops planned on the way and on the way back such as: Field of Dreams in Dyerville, Iowa, River boat in Dubuque, Iowa, Indy Speedway, Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., Amana Colonies in Amana, Iowa and Caterpillar Museum in Peoria, Ill. Sounds like fun for around $1,000 per person. Remember to sign up before July 15.
