Spring Fling at TPS next week

TRUMAN — All friends and relatives are invited to a bridal shower for Rachael Sauck, bride-to-be of Chandler Greier, from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at the Truman Community Building. The couple is registered at Amazon, Crate & Barrel and Sterling Drug.

Truman City Council will meet 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 6. If you have any ideas, concerns or questions, please contact Truman City Hall at (507) 776-7951 to be put on the agenda.

Donations are needed to help fund the Truman Days parade in July. Please help put on the parade by sending your donations to PO Box 34, Truman, MN 56088. Your sponsorship and/or donation are sincerely appreciated. Truman Days parade is funded separately from other Truman Days activities. Because of your sponsorship or donations, Truman has been able to put on a nice parade that has been enjoyed by many in the area.

The “Spring Fling” at the Truman Public School begins 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, with “bring a special guest to breakfast.” The cost is $3.50 to be paid at the door. The Book Fair is also open from 7:45-10 a.m.

“Spring Fling” at the Truman Public School continues Wednesday, May 8, starting at 5 p.m. with a free meal for all families in the community. This takes place in the cafeteria. The book fair will be held in the library. Spring concerts in the auditorium begins with grades K-2 at 6 p.m., grades 3-5 at 6:30 p.m. and the high school band/choir at 7 p.m.

It is against the law to dispose of fluorescent bulbs and ballest with your regular garbage. Fluorescent bulb recycling will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 8, in the Tractor Supply parking lot.

2024 Jaguars Strike Out Cancer event is on May 14. Our theme this year is Home Runs for Hope. We are accepting monetary donations and silent auction donations. They can be dropped off at Elizabeth Chevrolet or Truman Schools during business hours or contact a committee member to arrange pickup. Hope to see you on May 14 in Truman.
