CEYLON — Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will have a 5:30 p.m. communion service tonight, April 20, in Ceylon. Area residents are welcome to join them on the first and third Saturdays of each month for the evening service and on Tuesday mornings for Bible Study at 9:30 a.m.

St. Peter Lutheran Church has 9 a.m. Sunday services in April and they are collecting for Heaven’s Table Food Shelf this month. Circle of Faith parishes may also attend a 10 a.m. Sunday worship at Waverly Lutheran Church north of Welcome during April.

Monday, April 22, is the first day of Passover for the Jewish faith followers. It is also Earth Day and it is the date for the American Red Cross blood drive from 12:30-5:30 p.m. at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. Blood is urgently needed so give if you are able.

Tuesday coffee hours for April continue from 8:30-10 a.m. on April 23, at Sinn Family Celebration of Life facility in Trimont. Join friends and neighbors for good fellowship and coffee.

Ceylon Coffee Lovers group meets 8:30-10 a.m. every Thursday morning in the back room of the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon. All area men and women are welcome.

St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn is planning a bus trip to Kentucky and points of interest on the way. They will visit the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in Kentucky; Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa; American Lady in Dubuque, Iowa; Indy Speedway; Churchill Downs Horse Track in Louisville, Ky.; Amana Colonies in Amana, Iowa; and the Caterpillar Museum in Peoria, Ill. The trip goes from Aug. 18-24. Deadline to sign up is July 15.
