There is also a blood drive from 12:30-5:30 p.m. on April 22, at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. The Ceylon Community Day Auction and rummage sales are happening this weekend. Maps for the rummage sales are at the auctioneer office (bus) and the post office.

Saturday, April 13, is the last cribbage tournament for the season at 1:30 p.m. at the Welcome Legion Hall. They will resume on the second and third Saturdays in October.

The Lake Promenaders will meet 6 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at the Shaw home, 804 W. First Street in Welcome. Anyone interested in square dancing is welcome to attend.

Welcome Legion Auxiliary will meet 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 15, at the Welcome Legion Hall. All members are urged to attend. Memorial Day plans will be discussed.

Tuesday coffee hours for April continue from 8:30-10 a.m. on April 16, at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life facility in Trimont. Join friends and neighbors for coffee, goodies and great fellowship.

Welcome City Council is scheduled to meet 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at Welcome City Hall. All members are urged to attend. There is always a time for public comments and questions at the beginning of each meeting. In upcoming events, the Welcome Summer Festival committee will have a puzzle race fundraiser beginning 1:30 p.m. April 20 at the Welcome Legion Hall. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Four players on each team, age 21 and up. Each team will put together a 1,000 piece puzzle for cash prizes.
