TRUMAN — Truman Spruce Up Club is asking for donations to refresh the soil and make the 12 large planters extra special for the city’s quasquicentennial. Checks can be mailed to: Truman Spruce Up Club, PO Box 56, Truman, MN 56088. They can also be dropped off at Profinium Bank in Truman. Make the check out to the Spruce Up Club with a note in the memo that it’s for downtown planters.

Truman fireman’s breakfast will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 14. Come to the fire hall and enjoy pancakes, scrambled eggs, Denver-style scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage and beverage. This is a free-will offering. It’s going to be good.

Second Harvest Heartland, nutrition assistance program for seniors, will be held 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 17. Come to Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman to pick up your box. Eligibility is based on age, 60 years and up, household size, and income. Pre-register at 1-800-365-0270.
