Donations needed for Truman days

TRUMAN — Students at Truman Public School will be putting on the play “Murder on the Menu” to be held 7 p.m. Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6. Come to the school’s auditorium and support these young thespians.

A bridal shower for Elizabeth “Beth” Kotewa will be held 9-11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at the Truman Community Building, 313 N. 1st Ave. W. in Truman.

The Truman Museum has a large collection of calendars from the early 1900’s through the 1970’s showing Truman businesses from the past displayed in their windows. One window is the series of ‘The son of the Bluebird’ by Zula Kenyon from 1873-1947. The museum is open from 1-4 p.m. on Fridays or by appointment.

Truman Active Living group will meet 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 9. Any interested Truman-area resident is welcome to join this group at the Truman Museum. They welcome anyone to attend who would like to see our community continue to be a great place to call home. If you have any questions, call Pat at (507) 236-4433.

Donations are needed to help fund the Truman Days parade in July. Please help put on the parade by sending your donations to PO Box 34, Truman, MN 56088. Your sponsorship and/or donation are sincerely appreciated. Truman Days parade is funded separately from other Truman Days activities. Because of your sponsorship or donations, Truman has been able to put on a nice parade that has been enjoyed by many in the area.

Truman Fireman’s breakfast will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 15. Come to the fire hall and enjoy pancakes, scrambled eggs, Denver-style scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage and beverage. This is a free-will offering. It’s going to be good.

Truman Fire Department Relief Association is planning their ATV ride to be held May 18. Meet at the fire hall. For questions, call Ron at (952) 201-3095 or Brandon at (507) 236-4064.
