Fairmont seeks Charter Commission candidates

FAIRMONT — The City Council will be submitting a list of candidates to be appointed to fill vacancies and to serve as alternates on the Fairmont Charter Commission. The Fairmont Charter Commission is a 15-member citizen committee, appointed by the Chief District Court Judge responsible for reviewing and revising the city charter, which is the document that defines the powers, functions, and structure of the Fairmont city government. This is a four-year term.

If you are interested in serving on the Charter Commission, please fill out the application for Citizen Advisory Boards and Commissions, found on the City of Fairmont’s website at:https://fairmont.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/CABC.pdf or can be picked up at City Hall. The application should be returned to: Patricia J. Monsen, City Clerk, 100 Downtown Plaza, Fairmont, MN 56031. Names will be accepted until March 18, 2024.
