Fairmont seeks public comments on drinking water

FAIRMONT — The City of Fairmont is requesting public comments on the potential historic, archeological, and environmental impact associated with its proposed drinking water storage improvements.

A new drinking water ground storage tank is proposed to replace the two existing tanks. The total project area is on land owned by the City at 1001 Bixby Road North.

The project is proposed to be financed with a Drinking Water Revolving Fund loan. The loan will be jointly administered by the Minnesota Department of Health and the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority.

Comments should be submitted to the City’s engineering consultant at teresa.burgess@bolton-menk.com by 5 p.m. on March 28, 2024.
