CEYLON — Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon will have Karaoke with Rob at 8 p.m. tonight, Feb. 3. Their February Puzzle Races are filled and they are taking names for March races.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will have 5:30 p.m. services tonight, Feb. 3, with communion. The next services are planned for Feb. 17. They are having Bible Study at 9 a.m. every Tuesday morning. Area residents are welcome to join them for both.

Circle of Faith parishes will be doing February service schedule which is 9 a.m. service at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon and 10:30 a.m. service at Waverly Lutheran Church north of Welcome. Also, St. Peter will have their annual meeting this Sunday after the services.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert has services at 9:30 a.m. The LWML ladies group will have a potluck meal at noon on Thursday, Feb. 8, for the congregation. They will have their meeting at 1:30 p.m. The ladies are encouraged to bring their sweetheart to the potluck or a friend and the entire congregation is welcome to join them for this annual February event.

Coffee Lovers meet 8:30-10 a.m. each Thursday morning in the back room of the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon. Any area man or woman is welcome to join them for fellowship and coffee.

Ceylon Area Historical Society will have its annual meeting at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at the Portage Bank in Ceylon. All members are encouraged to attend. The meeting will elect two board members for a three-year term and conduct business having to do with the museum and other business.

American Red Cross blood drives will be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at the Armstrong High School. They will be in Jackson on Feb. 8 and 9. Also, there will be a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9 at the American Legion, 300 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. Ceylon Fire Department Relief Association will have another pancake breakfast/brunch from 9 a.m. to noon on Feb. 18. The menu will include pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, ham or sausage and juice. The cost is a free will donation. Thank you to all those who came to the January breakfast and those who served the breakfast.

The Ceylon Fire Department also would like to announce that the siren at the Ceylon Fire Hall is now automated. Firefighters will not have to push the button but it will be activated when the other county sirens are. They will test the siren on the first Wednesday of each month. The first testing will be Wednesday, Feb. 7. The fire department would like to thank those who donated towards the siren fund especially the Ceylon Festival committee and the Schmeekle Foundation.
