WELCOME -- Welcome to November, wow what a change in the weather! Tomorrow, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Circle of Faith parishes will begin their November schedule of services with 9 a.m. services in Welcome at Trinity Lutheran Church and 10:30 a.m. services in Trimont at the First Lutheran Church.

Sunday is also the date for the Annual Turkey Dinner 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Welcome. The menu includes mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, corn, cranberries, bun and dessert for a free will donation. Take outs are available.

There will be a Birthday celebration for Miss Murphy, long time MCW music instructor, 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Sherburn with a program at 2:30 p.m. Cards will reach her at 1775 Quail Road, Sherburn, MN 56171, if you are not able to attend. If joining the celebration please wear green if possible. Happy Birthday Miss Murphy and our wish is for many more birthdays for you.

The Senior Citizens will have their Noon Potluck, Monday, at the Welcome Legion Hall. Please bring a dish to pass and your own utensils. Fellowship will follow the meal. Any area senior is welcome.

Condolences to the family of Robert Spear who passed away recently. He will be missed.

There will be a Red Cross Blood Drive on Nov. 6 at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn from noon to 6 p.m. and at Martin Luther High School in Northrop from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. that day. The Blood Drive in Fairmont will be Nov. 28-30. Call the 800 number to make an appointment or find locations and times of blood drives in your area. The Welcome City Council will meet 6 p.m. Tuesday at city hall. All members are urged to attend. There is always a time for public comments/questions at the beginning of each meeting without reserving a time. Thank you to all those who helped with the Halloween Trunk and Treat which turned out to be Table and Treat at the Welcome Legion due to cold weather. Your support for area children is appreciated.

Up-coming Events include: Cribbage tournaments 1:15 p.m. November 11 and 18 at the Welcome Legion Hall. The Public is welcome to attend.
-- Lake Promenaders Square Dance group meets 6 p.m. November 12 at the Shaw home 804 west 1st Street in Welcome.
--There will be a Burger Night 5:30 p.m. November 17 at the Welcome Legion Hall to raise funds for the Summer Festival.
