The national honor society members at Martin Luther High School in Northrup plan to host a Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, November 6 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. To register call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit www.redcrossblood.org and enter MLHSMN.
Truman City Council will meet 5:30 p.m. Monday. All meetings are open to the public. The city has implanted new guidelines for public comment during council meetings. Visitors may address the council by filling out a public comment form and submitting it to the mayor prior to the meeting. Public comment time is now limited to five minutes per speaker.
Trinity Lutheran Church youth will serve a soup supper on election night, Tuesday Nov. 7, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. The meal will include homemade soup. They also will serve sandwiches plus bars and beverage for a free will donation. The meal has been an election-night tradition for many years, and many community people from all churches have attended. So come for a great meal and community fellowship.
A Lefse demonstration by Megan Heller will be held 6 p.m., Thursday Nov. 9, in the backroom of the Truman Public Library. Come learn how to make this Norwegian treat.
The Truman Public Library is sponsoring feed and read by accepting donations of canned goods and non-perishable food items Monday-Friday 1:30 – 5:30 p.m. starting Nov. 1 to Dec. 15, 2023. The library is located at 101 E. Ciro St.
