CEYLON -- Circle of Faith parishes may attend Sunday services during the month of October at either 9 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon or at 10:30 a.m. at Waverly Lutheran Church north of Welcome. St. Peter Lutheran would like to remind members that they will be collecting for Heaven's Table Food Shelf during October.

St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wilbert will have 9:30 a.m. services on Sunday, Oct. 8, and will have a special Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) that day. Their council will meet Oct. 10 and they will have a voter's meeting and communion on Oct. 15. Mark your
calendars and plan to attend.

Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Ceylon will have a 5:30 p.m. service with communion tonight, Oct. 7. They have services on the first and third Saturdays. They also have a Bible study at 9:30 a.m. each Tuesday morning. Area residents are welcome to join any of these area churches for services and/or Bible studies.

Coffee Lovers group meets 8:30-10 a.m. every Thursday in the back room of Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon. All area men and women are welcome to join them for coffee and fellowship.

Condolences to the family of Pat (Morris) Subbert who passed away recently. She was a former Ceylon resident and will be missed.

There will be American Red Cross blood drives from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 11, at Truman High School, from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m. Oct. 20, at Fairmont American Legion, 300 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 27, at Cross Fit Gym in Fairmont. The fun and exciting cribbage tournaments are scheduled to begin at 1:15 p.m. on Oct. 14 and Oct. 21 at the Welcome Legion Hall. The registration dues are given back at 100 percent as prizes. They plan to have tournaments the second and third Saturdays of each
month at the Welcome Legion Hall. Plan now to attend.

There will be a Trunk and Treat event from 2-5 p.m. Oct. 28, at the Ceylon City Park. This is free to all area children and is sponsored by the non-profit group, Helping Hands of Ceylon. They would welcome volunteers and donations. They plan activities and taco in a bag lunch.
