CEYLON — St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will have services at 9:30 a.m. this Sunday, Sept. 10, and for the rest of September. They are looking forward to the installation of the new organ this month, hopefully. Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon meets at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of the month. The next service is Sept. 16. They also have Bible study at 9:30 a.m. each Tuesday. Area residents are welcome. St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon will worship on Sundays at 9 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran in Welcome or 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran in Trimont during the month of September as part of the Circle of Faith parishes.

Condolences to the family of Gary Muller from Ceylon who passed away recently. He will be remembered as a Ceylon firefighter and business man (body shop) by most people of Ceylon. He will be missed.

Tuesday coffee hours for September continue from 8:30-10 a.m. on Sept. 12, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome. The Coffee Lovers group meets in Ceylon from 8:30-10 a.m. each Thursday in the back room of Lake Belt Bar and Grill. Make new friends or see old friends over a cup of coffee and some goodies.

Ceylon City Council will meet 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, at Ceylon City Hall. All members are urged to attend. There is always a time at the beginning of the meeting for public questions and comments. To be on the regular agenda, please contact the city hall prior to

The LWML ladies group at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will meet 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14. All members are encouraged to attend.

• Ruby’s Pantry food distribution from 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18 at the Regional Worship Center parking lot in Sherburn.

• Special Halloween event on Oct. 28 at Lake Belt Bar and Grill. Music provided by Karaoke with Rob at 8 p.m. There will also be prizes for costumes.

• Lake Belt Bar and Grill will host the band ‘IV Play’ at 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 1.
