Lunch and Learn Aug. 16

CEYLON — For the month of August, Circle of Faith parishes will have Sunday services at 9 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon and 10:30 a.m. at Waverly Lutheran Church north of Welcome.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert installed Pastor Steve Wilson and Pastor Jeff Hagen last Sunday. The dual congregations of St. Paul’s in Wilbert and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn has begun. Just a reminder for the Wilbert congregation that they will

be having 10 a.m. services on Sundays through Labor Day.

Tuesday coffee hours in August continue from 8:30-10 a.m. Aug. 15, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn. September coffee hours will be at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome. The Ceylon Coffee Lovers group meets 8:30-10 a.m. every Thursday in the back room at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill. All men and women of the area are welcome to join friends and neighbors at any of these coffee hours.

There will be a Crest Lunch & Learn program beginning 11 a.m. Aug. 16, at First Lutheran Church in Trimont, followed by a light lunch. These programs are educational and interesting and free to anyone living in Martin County. A free will donation for the lunch is appreciated.

American Red Cross blood drives will be held at two locations on Aug. 25 in Fairmont. The first one is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 300 Downtown Plaza, and the second one is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cross Fit gym. Also, a blood drive will be held Sept. 5-7 at the Best Western in Fairmont. To make an appointment, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767), go to www.redcrossblood.org or text BLOODAPP to 90999.
