Lewisville Fun Daze this weekend

Truman — A farmers’ market will be held 8-11 a.m., Saturday, at Graf Park in Truman. Vendors can be anyone selling homemade or homegrown items of any variety: vegetables, canned or baked goods, woodworking, sewing, soap making, craft projects, the list is endless. Lewisville Fun Daze begins 7:30 a.m., Saturday, with the ambulance pancake breakfast, garage sales/craft vendor fair, at 10 a.m., registration for kids pedal pull at 10:30 a.m., noon-4 p.m. kid’s activities, bingo at noon, Daybreak band at 2:30 and Karaoke competition at 5 p.m. Pre-registration is required. From 7:30 p.m. – 12 a.m. there will be entertainment on Main. Food/beverages available 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Find Lewisville Fun Daze on Facebook.

Truman swimming pool is open M-F from 1-5 p.m. and 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., weekend hours are 1-5:30 p.m. and 6-8:30 p.m. Adult lap swim is from noon-1p.m. M-F only.

Truman City Council meets 5:30 p.m., Monday, at the municipal building. The public is welcome to attend those meetings.

Truman Active Living Group will meet 10 a.m., Tuesday, at the Truman Museum. If you would like to see Truman continue to provide and improve their facilities, your input is welcome.

Truman Public Schools food service is offering FREE breakfast and lunch to children, 18 and under, Monday through Friday. Breakfast will be served 8:15-8:45 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. – noon in the cafeteria. Please use door 7 in front of the school.

Truman Pride meeting will be 6 p.m., August 9th, at the Truman Schools. Pride in our school, pride in our students, pride in our future. Get involved and help Truman school succeed. Come join. All are welcome.

The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive 1-6 p.m., August 14, at the Presbyterian church, 240 N St. E Amboy, Minn. Every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. Please call 1-800-Red Cross or visit redcrossblood.org and enter AMBOYMN to schedule an appointment.
