WELCOME -- Vacation Bible School is scheduled 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. this coming week, July 30 to August 3, at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Welcome for all Welcome children.
Welcome City Council is scheduled to meet 6 p.m., August 1 at City Hall. All members are urged to attend. There is always a time for public comments/questions at the beginning of each meeting. To be on the regular agenda please contact City Hall prior to the meeting

Park Play continues for all children in Welcome 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays. Parents are asked to stay with children age 6 and under. The Park Play is also at Trimont on Mondays and in Sherburn on Fridays. This is a Martin County West Community Education and Recreation offering.
The MCW last extended school year summer school is scheduled for July 31 to August 3.
The sports physicals for MCW grades 7-12 will be held August 4 at the Mayo Mobile Clinic at the High School in Sherburn.
Tuesday Coffee Hours will continue 8:30 to 10 a.m., each Tuesday in August, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Sherburn. Join friends and neighbors for good coffee and goodies and great fellowship.
Condolences to the families of Geraldine Hendricks, Hildegard Bunge,and Lloyd Olson, area residents that passed away recently. They will be missed.
Circle of Faith Parishes will meet 9 a.m. for Sunday services in August at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon, and 10:30 a.m. at Waverly Lutheran Church north of Welcome.
Red Cross Blood Drives are scheduled for Trimont from 1-7 p.m. August 25 in Fairmont at the American Legion (downtown plaza) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Cross Fit gym from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m..
