Arbor Day this Saturday

TRUMAN — “Catch a Cure” for cancer is taking place at the Truman baseball and softball fields today. There is always an opportunity to help. Be sure to check out the silent auction items and the delicious food to eat. Hope to see you there and support a great cause.

A come-and-go bridal shower for Linda Dougherty will be held 1-4 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at the Truman Community Building. All friends and relatives are invited. Linda is the daughter of Art and Brenda Dougherty and bride-to-be of Brad Laidig, son of Dave and Teresa Laidig of Madelia. They are registered at Target.

The MN Department of Natural Resources will waive all entrance and vehicle permit fees at MN state parks this Saturday.

Arbor Day is Saturday, April 22. It’s important as it gives people the knowledge to plant trees, protect trees and keeping trees for future generations. We all need to be good stewards of the land.
