TRUMAN -- There will be an information meeting for all parents and K-6th grade girls and boys that would like to learn wrestling and selfdefense beginning 6 p.m. Friday, March 17, in the cafeteria at Truman School. Free pizza will be served at 5:30 p.m., but you must RSVP for pizza. Instructional classes are after school until 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Truman Community Building. The cost is $40 per student. Please make check out to the Community Elementary Wrestling. A bridal shower for Kim Breamer and Weston Toothaker will be held 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 18, at the Truman Church of Christ, 401 Ciro St. in Truman. The couple is registered at Amazon, Walmart and Mill's Fleet & Farm.
Truman Lions Club burger bash will be held 5-7 pm. Saturday, March 18, at the Truman Community Building. Enjoy a delicious hamburger, condiments, chips, beans and a beverage. Take-outs are available.
Lewisville Legion Auxiliary chicken supper will be 5-6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at the Lewisville Legion. Adults are $12, while kids, ages 1-9 is $8.
Truman City Council will meet 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 20. Council meetings are open to the public.
St. Paul's Lutheran Church has midweek Lenten services at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. All are welcome to attend.
Trinity Lutheran Church welcomes you to let the love of Christ fill you during this Holy Lenten season. The Holden Evening prayer service begins 6:30 p.m. with singing led by Mark Nass and Allison Klassen. A meal will be hosted by the church youth from 5:15-6:15 p.m. The meal is for a free will offering.
The Great Puzzle Race is going to be held 6:30 p.m. on March 23, at the Truman Public Library. Assemble a team of 4 or an individual can also sign up and be added to a group. An American Red Cross blood drive will be held 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 5, in the activity room at Truman High School Elementary, 401 E. 1st St. South in Truman. 2023 ‘Strike out Cancer' Catch a Cure shirts are ready to order. Please use the link www.companycasuals.com/strikeoutcancer to order and pay online. Store will be open through March 24. Shirts will be delivered the week of the event. There will be a limited number of shirts available for purchase at the event. Prices will be $ 5 higher than pre-order prices.
