Community Fun Night Dec. 1

TRUMAN — Remember that the Truman High School trap team meat raffle begins 6 p.m. tonight, Nov. 25, at Aardvarks in Truman.

STEP, Inc. is at it again collecting your old Christmas lights, electric cords, and appliance cords. You can drop them off at the Truman city office, the office entrance at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church or Trinity Lutheran Church.

Former Truman resident, Marvel Meyer of Fairmont, will celebrate her 90th birthday on Monday, Nov. 28. Cards may reach her at 2605 Poetter Circle, Fairmont, MN 56031.

Truman Public School community fun night will be 4:30-8 p.m. on Dec. 1. Food, activities, book fair, bake sale, free holiday movie, pre-sale pies baked by Mr. Nass, outdoor evergreen pots, and more. This is a fundraiser for the district.

Just a reminder that your sump pump hose should be routed to your storm sewer.

Truman Sorority has set the date of December 6 for the annual shopping spree for elementary students. The kids love buying gifts for their families, so we need lots of men’s, women, and children’s presence. If families have nice, clean items they can donate, we would appreciate the help. No clothes, please. With any questions, contact Cathy Sorenson at (507) 776-3901.

If you would like to give to our local toys for tots, just drop off your unwrapped donation at Boekett or Elizabeth Chevrolet before noon on Dec. 13. Remember teenagers need gifts also. If you have any questions contact Candace Shahan at (507) 236-6988.

• Trinity Lutheran Church 25th annual cookie walk will be held 8-10 a.m. on Dec. 3.
