St Paul’s UCC turkey dinner Sunday

WELCOME — Welcome to the month of November. Circle of Faith parishes are reminded that Sunday services in November are 9 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome, and 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Trimont, since there is only one pastor.

Remember to set your clocks back one hour Saturday since standard time is scheduled to return on Sunday.

St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 214 N. Dugan St. in Welcome, will have their annual turkey dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6. The menu includes turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, corn, cranberries, bun and a dessert. They will accept a free will donation.Take-outs are available. This is always a good dinner. Celebrate the end of harvest and November in Welcome.

The senior citizens group in Welcome meet on the first Monday of the month so they will have a noon potluck lunch on Nov. 7, with fellowship to follow. Any senior citizen in the area is welcome to join them for great food and good fellowship. Please bring a dish to pass and eating utensils.

On Monday, Nov. 7, there are American Red Cross blood drives from 12:30-5:30 p.m. at Martin Luther High School in Northrop, and also from 1-6 p.m. at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn. For information about blood drive locations and times or to make an

appointment, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) go online atwww.redcrossblood.org or text BLOODAPP to 90999. You can print out a Rapid Pass on the day of donation to shorten the registration time, or for other information. The supply is low so give blood if you are able. Thank you.

Tuesday, Nov. 8, is election day, so don’t forget to vote if you haven’t sent in your ballot already. Times and the polling place for Welcome city residents is from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Welcome City Hall. The townships each have their townhalls as polling places.

Upcoming events include:

• Cribbage tournament 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Welcome Legion.

• Coffee hours are from 8:30-10 a.m. on Nov. 15 and Nov. 29 at

Sherburn Legion.

• Special community hog roast and push in ceremony for the new

rescue truck from noon to 3 p.m. on Nov. 19 at the Welcome Fire

Department.
