Road construction making progress

CEYLON – The Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon will have a special Halloween event with Good Times Karaoke beginning 8 p.m. tonight, Oct. 29.

Road construction is progressing and soon the sidewalks, curbs and gutters, and even the street lights, will be done. Monday is the last day of October and they may make it near the deadline they discussed in August and September. Hwy. 263 has been paved and the shoulders are being filled in and rumble strips and signage will be forthcoming thanks to good weather. Please drive carefully and observe the hazard lights and flag person.

Please be extra careful on Monday as some children may be out and about and not looking for traffic in their excitement about Halloween. There is a Trunk and Treat in Welcome beginning 3 p.m. on Sunday, and the Dunnell Trunk and Treat is on Monday, as is the one at Temperance Lake Ridge in Sherburn. Please have a safe and happy Halloween. Thank you to those who helped with the Halloween event in Ceylon on the 22nd.
