Craft and vendor show this Saturday

SHERBURN – MCW volleyball team plays 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, att St. Clair. On Friday, the football team will play New Ulm Cathedral 7 p.m. at Johnson Park in New Ulm. On Saturday, Oct. 1, the volleyball teams will play 9 a.m. at Maple River, and the trap shoot team will travel to Marshall High School for the state competition Friday and Saturday. Also, Homecoming Week is Oct. 3-7 in Sherburn and the football game is scheduled for 7 p.m. that Friday evening. Lots of activities the whole week.

There will be a craft and vendor show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn. Homemade goods and small businesses and crafts along with a meal are available for purchase. They are located just south of I-90 at 2 Crossroads Drive.

On Thursday, Sept. 29, Mayo Clinic Health System will have a celebration of 150 years of patient care in Martin County and 30 years anniversary of the clinic in Fairmont from 4:30-6 p.m. They will have a special program at 4:45 p.m., all on the south side of the

hospital in Fairmont. There will be refreshments (cranberry cake), music by Glenn Henriksen, and other activities. There will be tables with displays and cookbooks available for purchase. The celebration is open to the public.

There will be a CREST-sponsored caregiver’s support group meeting beginning 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont. Monday is also the date for the Friendship Club from St. John’s Lutheran Church to meet. They will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. at the new Lake Belt Bar and Grill (formerly Legends II) in Ceylon.

Sherburn Civic and Commerce group will meet 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the senior center in Sherburn. All members and interested parties are encourage to attend.

Tuesday coffee hours for the month of October will be 8:30-10 a.m. beginning Oct. 4, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn. The congregation at St. Luke’s is also changing their service times from October to December to 10:30 a.m. Sunday mornings.

Sherburn Theatre will hold over the movie ‘Lifemark’ for one more weekend. Show times are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 4 p.m. on Sunday. On Oct. 7, ‘Lyle Lyle Crocodile’ will be featured.

Community Chest drive is underway. Please drop off donations at Bank Midwest in Sherburn or mail them to Box 504, Sherburn, MN 56171 until Oct. 31. Thank you.

Upcoming events include:

• Hamburger Night from 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 5, at Sherburn Legion.

• CREST Lunch and Learn 11 a.m. on Oct. 5 in Sherburn.

• Steak Fry Night on Oct. 8 at the Sherburn Legion.

• An American Red Cross blood drive will be from noon to 6 p.m. on Oct. 17, at St. Paul’s UCC Church in Welcome.

• Regional Worship Center will have a special 100th anniversary

service and meal on Oct. 30.

• A blood drive will be held Nov. 7, at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn.
