City Council meets Monday

SHERBURN — Sherburn Theatre will feature the movie “Paws of Fury” this coming weekend, July 15-17, and next weekend, July 22-24. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 4 p.m. on Sunday.

There will be a celebration of life for Deb Leiding from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at the Sherburn Liquor Store. Share memories of Deb. Condolences to the families of Irene Umbreit of Dunnell, and Mary Ann Hassing, who passed away. They will be missed.

Sundaes at the Park continue in Trimont at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 17.

Mayo Mobile Clinic in Sherburn will be held 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, July 18, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, near the city hall. To make an appointment, call the appointment line at (507) 238-8500 and mention the Sherburn Clinic.

Sherburn City Council will meet 5 p.m. Monday, July 18, at the city hall on First Street. All members are urged to attend. There is always a time for public comments and questions at the beginning of each meeting.

There will be a Lunch & Learn session beginning 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, at First Lutheran Church in Trimont. These are free to anyone from Martin County. A donation for the meal is appreciated.

Ruby’s Pantry food distribution will be held 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, July 18, at the Regional Worship Center just south of I-90 in Sherburn. The cost is $25 for a lot of food to put in your trunk. There are no residential or income guidelines.

Regional Worship Center is continuing Tuesday coffee hours in July from 8:30-10 a.m. except for July 19th due to other church commitments that day. Join friends and neighbors for coffee and fellowship on Tuesdays. I have not heard from anyone about coffee hours in August but St. Paul’s UCC church in Welcome is planning to have Tuesday coffee hours in September.
