Valley Quilters set Monday meeting

Blue Earth Valley Quilters will hold its next meeting 7 p.m. Monday, June 20, in the Blue Earth Area High School Choir room. Enter through door "V" to the building. After introductions, 'Show-and-Tell' will begin followed by a short meeting to discuss the Faribault County Fair on July 27-30, and the Quilt EXPO on Aug. 12-14. Their will be opportunities for signing up to help at these events. Anyone interested in this quilting group may attend. For more information, contact Jan Shaffer at (507) 526-3979.

Martin Luther to host volleyball camp

An all-skills volleyball camp for boys and girls going into grades 5-9 will be held 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday-Thursday, June 21-23, at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. The camp, led by Coach Paul Steinhaus, will emphasize passing, setting, hitting, serving, blocking, team movements, and what it means to be a good teammate. The following area students were named to the dean's list for the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, S.D.: Alpha -- Ashley Keck, Anna Rose; Fairmont -- Laura Hartke, Ericka Kim, Pramit Patel; Sherburn -- Parker Anderson; Trimont -- Jaxson Rohman.

Sedrick Parker of Truman was named to the dean's list for the 2022 spring semester at Central Lakes College in Brainerd.
