TRUMAN — The last meat raffle of the season, with proceeds going to the THS trap shooting team, begins 6 p.m. Friday, April 29, at Aardvarks Bar and Grill. The THS trap shooting team is very appreciative of your support.

Truman City Council will meet 5:30 p.m. Monday. Council meetings are open to the public. There is a time for public comments and questions.

Wednesday is recycling day. Place your brown and yellow recycling cart curbside by 7 a.m. with the front of the cart facing the street and five feet away from all obstructions and one foot away from additional carts. Heavens Table is partnering with the City of Truman to provide a monthly food box distribution. This is available to individuals or families. There is an income limit, but no one will be turned away. Volunteers can express interest according to their schedules by calling (507) 238-5424.

Prairieland Solid Waste Facility in Truman is accepting household hazardous waste, appliances, and electronics from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Wednesday in May. The HHW is FREE, but appliances or electronics are $15 each. If you have questions, phone (507 )776-3232.

May 5 is the fluorescent bulb and ballast recycling from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fairmont Tractor Supply parking lot, 1215 N. State Street. There is a price per item charge.

A come-and-go bridal shower for Hailey Olson will be held 9-11 a.m. on May 7, at the Truman Community Building. Hailey is the bride-to-be of Sawyer Krenz. They are registered at Sterling Drug, Target and Amazon.
