Donations sought for Truman Days parade

TRUMAN -- Truman Active Living Group will meet 10 a.m. Tuesday. Any interested Truman area resident is welcome to join this group at the Truman Museum.

2022 'Strike Out Cancer' t-shirts are now available to order. Order online at www.companycasuals.com/strikeoutcancer. Please place your order before April 15. Shirts will be delivered the week of May 9. Our event is May 17. If you are not able to order online, please contact Paula Heckman at (507) 236-6774. If you are interested in making a silent auction donation, please drop off at Truman Schools or Elizabeth Chevrolet during business hours.

Heavens Table is partnering with the City of Truman to provide a monthly food box distribution. This is available to individuals or families. There is an income limit, but no one will be turned away. If you would like to sign up, or would like more information, please contact Justin at (507) 236-5015, or Patty at (507) 848-7433. Volunteers can express interest according to their schedules by calling (507) 238-5424.

Donations are needed to help fund the Truman Days parade in July. Letters will be sent out to businesses, but to save on postage, letters to individuals will not. Please help put on the parade by sending your donations to P.O. Box 34, Truman, MN 56088. Your sponsorship and/or donations are sincerely appreciated. Truman Days parade is funded separately from other Truman Days activities. Because of your sponsorship or donations, Truman has been able to put on a nice parade that has been enjoyed by many in the area.

Check out the new monthly display theme table at the Truman Library. A new author may be waiting for you. The library is open 1:30-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. If you have any questions, contact Theresa at (507) 776-2717.

Coffee time begins 8:30 a.m. Wednesday mornings and from 9-11 a.m. you can play "500" at the Truman Community Building. Registration is not required. If you would like more information, just call Marlene at (507) 236-6002.

Beanbag throwers are welcome to gather 1:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the Truman Community Building. Bring a snack and a drink of your choice. If you would like more information, call (507) 822-6181.

Truman Sorority Club is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for children, preschool through 5th grade, beginning 10 a.m. on April 16, at the Truman High School football field.

Also on April 16, an Easter Egg Hunt for children, newborn to 12-years-old, will be held 10:30 a.m. at the Old Lewisville City Hall. This hunt is sponsored by the Lewisville Community Club.
