Free pool party Sunday

SHERBURN — Tonight the Wednesday Lenten services will be held 6 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, with a supper to follow. Area residents are welcome to join them.

Sherburn Theatre will feature “Death on the Nile” this weekend. Show times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 4 p.m. on Sunday.

There will be a three-meat buffet meal from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 27, at the First Congregational Church on Prairie Street in Sherburn. The menu includes Swedish meatballs, turkey, and ham for a donation of $10. There are also desserts available. The church is handicap-accessible.

There will be a free pool party from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the indoor pool at Sherburn Elementary School. This will be the third fun party. Check out the pool and all the events held there. Some birthday parties can be held, check out the reservation process.

The Temperance Lake Ridge building will have their monthly Memory Cafe support meeting for dementia caregivers and families at 3 p.m.

Mayo Mobile Clinic will be in Sherburn by the city hall from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, March 28, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 30. Please make an appointment by calling (507) 238-8500 and mention that you want to go to the clinic in Sherburn.

Condolences to the families of Keith Sickler, Mary Jane Olson, and Gloria Maschoff. Keith will be remembered as a Nuway board member, snowplow/grader operator, seed dealer and antique tractor collector. Mary was a paraprofessional at MCW and a big MCW fan, organist in Trimont, and on the hospital board. They will all be missed.

The school play, ‘The Addams Family,’ will be held April 1-3 at the Sherburn Theatre. Make plans to attend and support the MCW students. There will be no movie featured that weekend at the theatre.
