Auction and supper benefit coming up

CEYLON – Condolences to the family of Sharon Schultz who died last week. She will be missed.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon has a Bible Class at 9:30 a.m. each Tuesday. Area residents are invited to join them.

The coffee lovers group meets from 8:30-10 a.m. every Thursday in the back room at Legends ll in Ceylon. All area men and women are welcome to join them for coffee and fellowship.

There will be a silent auction and spaghetti supper benefit for the McDonald family from Welcome who lost their home in a fire Jan. 1. The benefit will be Feb. 5, at the MCW High School in Sherburn, with bidding getting underway at 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with the spaghetti supper beginning at 4:30 p.m. Bidders need not be present to win. Winning bids will be announced at 6 p.m. Mrs. McDonald is a former Daleske from Ceylon.

Make plans to attend the Ceylon all-school reunion scheduled June 25, 2022. For further information, contact Jim Plumhoff at (507) 632-4368. Inform all friends and relatives who may be planning their summer vacation. If there have been address changes since the last reunion in 2015 please let Jim know.

The American Red Cross is experiencing a record low blood amount. If you can give blood at a blood drive, please do so. There will be drives Feb. 15-17 at the Best Western (formerly Holiday Inn) in Fairmont, on Feb. 21 in Trimont, and Feb. 28 in Welcome.
