Families are invited to a Children’s Winter Carnival from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. Cost is $5/child or $15/family. The NHS and student council will be hosting a variety of games. Snacks, a toddle room and parent lounge will be provided. Everyone is welcome.

If you plan to use a restricted use pesticide on land or sites to produce agricultural commodities, reside in the state of Minnesota, and your private pesticide applicator certification expires on March 1, 2022, you need to renew your certification. Option 1 — attend a live in-person workshop. You can find a recertification workshop, along with the one scheduled for Feb. 7, at the Knights of Columbus, at www.pat.umn.edu. Option 2 — Take an online, self-paced Canvas course. Register at www.pat.umn.edu under “self-paced course “section. Option 3 — Take the exam online at www.pat.umn.edu and click on the “Exam” section.
