SHERBURN — There will be a Wine Club event from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Sherburn Liquor Store. The fee is $10. Sample different wines and have snacks, sign up for drawings done during this event.

Sherburn Theatre will feature the movie “The King’s Man” 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 14, 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15, and 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 16. Tickets are $5. Come and support local businesses.

Ruby’s Pantry grocery distribution will be held 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, at the Regional Worship Center parking lot in Sherburn just south of I 90. The fee is $22 for a trunk full of goodies. There are no residential or income guidelines. Come with an empty trunk and they will load it for you.

City of Sherburn is now making a dog license available for the lifetime of the dog for just $20. No need to renew each year. For further information, contact the city hall in Sherburn.

MCW Knowledge Bowl participants will meet Thursday morning in Mankato. The girls basketball team will meet 7 p.m. Thursday in Lake Crystal. The gymnastics team will compete against New Ulm 6 p.m. on Friday at Live Fit in Fairmont, and the boys basketball team will play Cleveland at 7 p.m. Friday evening in Trimont. On Saturday, the wrestlers will meet 10 a.m. at St. James, and the gymnastics team will travel to Jackson at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The girls basketball team will have a game 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, in Sherburn, and the boys basketball game will be 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, in Trimont. Good luck to all the MCW athletes.
