WELCOME — Cribbage players will have a tournament beginning 1:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, at Legends ll in Ceylon. The Welcome Legion will be the site of cribbage playing the same time next Saturday, Jan. 15. Area residents are invited to join them for a fun afternoon. The entry fee goes to the winnings.

Circle of Faith Parish members are reminded that there is drive-through communion from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Waverly Lutheran Church north of Welcome and Trinity

The Old 16 Bar and Grill will have its grand opening on Tuesday, Jan. 11. Renee Amis and Christ Taylor are the new owners and hope to meet many of the area residents.
