Lewisville Legion Auxiliary soup and sandwich day is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. You can enjoy chili, potato soup or vegetable beef soup and your choice of sandwich. Santa will also be present, so bring your list.

Truman Public Schools will be hosting their Christmas concert on Monday. Kindergarten through 5th grade will start at 6 p.m., and 6th-12th grade will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Truman Active Living group will meet 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Truman Museum. You are welcome to join them.
Santa's shopping spree for children in grades K-6 who are students at Truman Public or parochial school, from 3:30-5 p.m. Tuesday at the Truman Community Building. Gifts are 50 cents each. Please make your list so your child can be prepared. Several adults will be available to help younger children choose gifts. It is important kids have the learning experience by choosing their own gifts. The shopping spree is sponsored by the Truman Sorority.
Recycling day is Wednesday. Please place containers curbside by 7 a.m. and make sure to break down all cardboard boxes.
Wear your pearls on Wednesday to let everyone know it's Pearl Day.
Donations are still being accepted for downtown decorations. Any monetary amount may be left at Profinium in Truman. Your donations are greatly appreciated.
STEP, Inc, wants your old holiday lights, electric cords, and appliance cords. You may drop your lights or cords (no cord adapters or battery packs) off at Truman City Hall, Trinity Lutheran Church or St. Paul's Lutheran Church. St Paul's collection bin is located inside the entryway to the office on the east side of the building. If you would like more information, call (507) 238-4341.
Have you heard about the holiday lights parade the Truman Fire Department is holding which will begin 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18. The route is 3.75 miles and covers most of downtown Ciro Street, past Heartland Senior Living, Graf Park, THS, Southwest Apartments, Truman Community Building and more. Truman Lions Club and Truman Pride will be serving a light lunch from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at the Truman Community Building. Enjoy a hot dog or two, chips, beverage, etc. Also, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will be visiting during the evening.
