Welcome/Sherburn Police Department has re-instated ’Shop with a Cop’ program to help children in need and their families from the Martin County West School District have a happy holiday season. Children, sixth grade and under, are eligible for the program.

Donations may be sent to Officer Nicholas Smith at the Sherburn/ Welcome Police Department, 21 E. First St., Sherburn, MN 56171. They try to help all the children nominated for the program. That depends on the money donated. Residents may nominate children for the program at that address also. Names should be sent in by Dec. 10 to Officer Smith, who is leading the program. Last year they had to cancel the program so they are happy to re-instate it this year with a different look since large gatherings are not advised. They will be getting gift cards and the children may use them for gifts to their family and themselves. For further information, contact Officer Smith at the address above, call (952) 292-5898 or go online at nsmith@Sherburnwelcomepolice.org.

Starting at $2.99/week.
