Mayo Mobile Clinic coming next week

Today is the first Wednesday of October so there will be a Lunch and Learn 11 a.m. at the Senior Citizen’s Center in Sherburn It will be about the Badlands, Yellowstone, Big Horn Mountain, and the Grand Tetons. Lunch will be Stew and Biscuits and Apple Dessert. This is free to anyone in Martin County and is sponsored by Crest.

The first Wednesday is also Hamburger Night 5-8 p.m at the Sherburn Legion. For $8 they are serving a charcoal grilled hamburger with all the fixings, a salad and Baked Beans.

Sounds yummy. The Legion will also have their Steak Fry meal 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9. For $17, a person will have a choice of Ribeye steak, shrimp, or Smoked Pork Chop and salad bar, baked potato and Garlic Toast. That sounds yummy too. Plan to attend.

Tuesday, Oct. 12, the Sherburn Legion will have their monthly meeting at 8 p.m. All members are encouraged to attend.

Every Tuesday morning in October St. Luke’s Catholic Church will host the Tuesday Coffee Hours from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Have Coffee and Rolls and fellowship in October.

Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. the Sherburn Theatre will feature a 007 movie entitled No Time To Die. The movie will also be shown on Sunday at 4 p.m.

The Mayo Mobile Clinic Van will be in town behind the city hall building from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday, Oct 11 and 13. Call the appointment number at (507) 238-8500 to make an appointment, make sure to ask for Sherburn mobile clinic.

Sports continue for Martin County West athletes. There will be a Volleyball game in Trimont on Monday at 7:15 p.m. against JCC school. They will play an away game at Alden Conger on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. A Football game will be held at Slayton on Friday at 7 p.m. Good Luck to MCW athletes.

Tuesday, Oct. 12, will be picture day at the high school, Oct. 13 will be picture day at the elementary school in Sherburn, and Oct. 14 will be picture day at Trimont school. They are doing something new. Order forms are not being sent home. Contact will be made via phone or email and they will use a link to view the child’s picture, choices for purchase and payment options. Pictures will be mailed to home addresses.

During October the MCW Drama Department will be rehearsing the Fall Musical comedy entitled The Addams Family which will be seen at the Sherburn Theatre November 19, 20, 21. Just a reminder to make an appointment to give blood at the upcoming Red Cross Blood Drives. Cribbage players will meet 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Legends ll in Ceylon. Anyone can play. There will be a cribbage time at Welcome 1:30 p.m Oct. 16 at Welcome Legion Hall. There is
