Mobile Clinic visits Sherburn
SHERBURN — Mayo Health System new mobile clinic visits Sherburn every two weeks from 8 a.m. to
4 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays (this week). It is parked behind city hall. To make an
appointment,
call (507) 238-8500 and request the mobile clinic at Sherburn. It
has two exam rooms, an on-site laboratory, and can connect
virtually to Mayo Clinic experts for tele-health visits. It is looking
forward to the second successful week and has had positive
feedback from patients.
The Mobile Mayo Clinic will have a special day for sports physicals only from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. Thursday in the parking lot at the high school in Sherburn. The cost is $20. Gym shorts
and a tee-shirt should be worn. Bring the sports physical form. To make an appointment, call
(507) 238-8100. Walk-ins will be accepted if
necessary, and forms will be available. No immunizations will be
offered.
Deadline to sign up for Coach T (Tumbleson) Football Camp is
tomorrow, Thursday. Go to the school website: martin.k12.mn.us/
domain/20. The camp will be held 8:30-11:30 a.m. Monday for
kids in grades K-3, and from 12:30-3:30 p.m. for kids in grades 4-8, north of the elementary
school. Cost is $100. Cleat shoes or tennis shoes are required. If it’s raining, this noncontact
football
fundamentals class will have to be held in the school gym.
Sew classes at the Old Alley Quilt Shop continue at 1 p.m. on Fridaywith a class by Teresa
Coates to make a soft and cuddly quilt. The cost is $25. At 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Teresa will
also hold a class to
help participants make a self-binding blanket at a cost of $25. Then at 9 a.m. on Saturday,
Teresa will show participants how to make a Nutty Nag Horse Plushie (toy) for $50. Week three
of Sew Days will have a class to make a tea towel apron on Monday for a $5 fee.

Sherburn Theatre will be showing ‘Boss Baby 2′ at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 4 p.m. on

Martin County West School District is taking filings for affidavits of
candidacy for a one-year school board position for School District
2448 from July 27 to August 10. The candidate must be 21 years
old and have lived in the school district for 30 days prior to the Nov. 2 election. Affidavits
are available at the School District
administration office, 105 E. 5th Street in Sherburn. There is a filing
fee of $2.
Condolences to the family of Eldon Linscheid who passed away last week. He will be missed.
On a happy note, a belated happy anniversary to the owners of the Cup N’ Saucer Cafe, Seth and
Elizabeth Lintelman. They celebrated
their 14th wedding anniversary last week, I believe. We wish them
many more happy years.
