WELCOME — Sunday is Mother’s Day and I hope all the mothers and those who are like mothers in the area have a great day.

Welcome Legion will meet 7 p.m. Monday at the Welcome Legion

Hall. All members are urged to attend.

City of Welcome is currently installing new water meters and are

running into a problem of residents not being home. Please

cooperate with the city employees who will be contacting houses so that the meters can be installed and the City and residents will save money. The City also would like to remind residents that lawns of

over 7 inches must be mowed and the grass clippings are not to fly

into the gutter. Sump pumps should all be discharging into the

storm sewer or on the lawn now that spring has sprung. Thank you for your cooperation.

Anyone with information about the people who defaced the

buildings in Welcome with graffiti should contact the Welcome-Sherburn Police at bhughes@sherburnwelcomepolice.org. Thank you for helping keep Welcome the clean city it should be.
