TRUMAN — Arbor Day is Friday. It is important as it gives people knowledge to plant trees, protect trees and keeping trees for future generations. We all need to be good stewards of the land.

Spruce Up Truman committee would like donations to buy plants for their planters. Any amount donated would be appreciated. Monetary donations may be sent to Profinium at P.O. Recycling day is Wednesday. Please be sure your container is placed curbside by 7 a.m. with the front facing the street.

Every Wednesday in May from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Truman Prairieland Solid Waste Facility will accept your household hazardous waste for free. Appliances and electronics are $15 each. Anyone with farm chemicals or farm pesticides for disposal must contact Billeye at (507) 226-3232 for an appointment.
