CEYLON — Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon will celebrate Easter at their 5:30 p.m. service tonight, with communion. There will be no Easter meal or lunch. St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon will have their Easter service at 9 a.m. on Sunday. The other Circle of Faith congregations will celebrate at Waverly Lutheran, north of Welcome, at 9 a.m. Sunday. Trinity Lutheran in Welcome will have a sunrise service at 7 a.m. on Sunday. None of the churches will have a breakfast or lunch due to COVID regulations. St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will have a 9:30 a.m. Sunday service. All area residents are invited to join these congregations for services. I hope you all have a happy and safe Easter.

Next weekend will be the Ceylon Community Day Auction and city-wide rummage sales event. If anyone wants to be on the map for rummage sales in print and online at the city website, please contact Linda Bakke at (507) 632-4509 ASAP.

Ceylon Fire Department Relief Association would like to thank all those who helped them at the pancake fundraiser in March, those who worked, and those who came to eat and donate. Your support is appreciated.

I saw a paragraph on Facebook from the goodwill librarian that I liked. Your mind is a garden, your thoughts are the seeds. You can grow flowers, or you can grow weeds.

In my continuing search for signs of spring, I saw a robin and I also saw a few flakes of snow this week.
