Rummage sale coming up soon

WELCOME — It’s April already, hope you didn’t get fooled too many times yesterday. Sunday is Easter. Circle of Faith congregations will have a Good Friday service 6:30 p.m. tonight at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. On Easter the services will be 7 a.m. at Trinity in Welcome and First Trinity. Waverly Lutheran and St. Peter Lutheran churches will have Easter services at 9 a.m. None of the churches have scheduled a breakfast this year due to the pandemic. St. Paul’s

United Church of Christ in Welcome will have an Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. All are glad to be able to have Easter services this year.

Due to the pandemic regulations, the coffee hours for April which would have been in Trimont, have been cancelled.

Welcome City Council will meet 6 p.m. Tuesday at Welcome City Hall. Social distancing and face masks are to be used. There is always a time for public comments or questions at the beginning of each meeting. All members are urged to attend.

Condolences to the family of Monica Chukuske who passed away last week. She will be missed.

Martin Luther High School in Northrop will have their spring rummage sale on April 8-10. There will be no bake sale this year due to pandemic regulations. The hours for the sale are: from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on April 9, and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 10.

Ceylon Community Day Auction has been scheduled for April 10, along with city-wide rummage sales also. Remember to mask up if you go inside buildings and stay home if you are sick.
